Location: Newmarket, Suffolk. George took out his trainers licence in July 2019 after six seasons with Hugo Palmer as assistant trainer. Prior to this he worked with champion trainer Gai Waterhouse in Australia.
In his first season he has already trained 25 winners and boasts a strike rate of 20%. Two of these have won four races each this season and the two-year old filly, Mirage Mac, is two wins from two runs against colts at Newbury. Another success story is a horse he trains called ‘Involve’ who was bought at last year’s horses in training sale at Newmarket for 25,000 Gns with a rating of 50. George has improved this horse to win two races from three starts and has increased his rating to 92 which has resulted in a significant sale to Australia where he is currently being prepared for the Melbourne Cup!
